Position: Business Systems Analyst

Division: Crimson Renewable Energy

Work Location: Portland, OR

Duties: Serves as liaison between the various business units of Crimson Renewable Energy Holdings’ entities – Crimson Renewable Energy, SeQuential Environment Services, SeQuential Biodiesel, and Delta Trading – and its IT department. Interviews users and performs analyses to complete business cases for management in support of IT projects. Participates in or facilitates IT systems process modeling and research efforts. Acts as a consultant and reviews all documents on project teams. Devises and documents functional system designs based on anticipated requirements. Liaises with IT experts—internal and external—to address networking and hardware needs. Continually reviews requirements, and specifications, tests, technical support, and training plans for all systems projects to ensure they are in line with business objectives. Collects, analyzes, and distributes key metric data regarding IT systems for decision-making processes. Participates in root cause analysis to recommend systems and practices enhancements to improve productivity. Position requires up to 10% travel to Salem, OR, Bakersfield, CA and Denver, CO for face-to-face meetings at various Crimson Renewal Energy worksites.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field and 7 years of experience as an IT Project Consultant/Manager or related occupation, including Software Engineer, Process Engineer, Business Analyst or Technical/Project Leader. Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:

Leading, facilitating, designing, and implementing successful business IT solutions with cross functional teams in the manufacturing or transportation industries.
Systems design and architecture
SQL and data modeling
Data analysis & metrics design
Identifying operational inefficiencies and presenting improvement proposals
Agile development and working with business and development teams as systems liaison.
Implementing or making considerable changes to at least two ERP/CRM systems in the transportation and manufacturing verticals.
Working in a cloud-first environment including Internet, Intranet, Extranet and Cloud architectures
Analyzing, designing, and implementing business and web-based applications using at least one of the following skill sets: JavaScript, SQL, VBScript, HTML
Providing database design, preparing test cases, and performing testing, as well as preparing technical & functional specifications
